Harrogate Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group to Launch at Resurrected Bites Cafe

Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group to launch at Resurrected Bites cafe

On 27th August, a Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Support Group is set to launch at Resurrected Bites St Wilfrid’s Cafe on Duchy Road in Harrogate.

The support group was the idea of Jane Weilding, who has was diagnosed with RA in 2024. Jane said: "I have recently been diagnosed with RA and I couldn't find any support groups so I asked on Facebook if anyone would be interested in meeting up monthly to support each other.  Michelle Hayes from Resurrected Bites got in touch to offer us a venue and now several people have been in touch to say they would like to come along to our first meeting at the end of August."

The meetings will take place on the last Wednesday of each month from 10-11.30 in the church hall behind St Wilfrid’s Church. Resurrected Bites run pay-as-you-can cafes so it means that everyone can afford to come to the meetings. Michelle Hayes, CEO of Resurrected Bites said: “We have this beautiful, large space at St Wilfrid’s church every Wednesday where people can meet and find community. Our breakfast sessions (10-11.30a.m.) are quite quiet at the moment and so we are looking for community groups who want to meet at the cafe to have their meeting and then they can stay for a delicious lunch afterwards if they like.”

Any groups interested in meeting at the cafe can email Sarah hello@resurrectedbites.co.uk
